Bug!

Well, the Alpha wasn't quite ready... one tiny little change I  made right before building caused this delightful Engine Fountain bug. Pretty, but game-breaking. If you write over the buggy build, your progress should be intact, BTW. The previous post has links updated to new builds. And here they are again...

ALPHA Release!

v.0.1.02

You can now actually play my game! Check it out. It is an alpha, which means it's not pretty yet, I don't know how the difficulty rates for other people, and there might be bugs; but you should be able to play through and get an idea of whether or not this gameplay is actually fun. Let me know in either case, I can take it.

Level Descriptions!

Decided to give my game just one bit of visual flair before releasing the Alpha: a crusty, animatronic conductor-guy who appears at the start of each level to lay out the objectives and add a little flavor. He hasn't got a name yet. Railyard Randy? Nat the Brakeman?

Map and Tile Properties!

Been a while since I showed off the map maker. It's been steadily improving alongside the actual game. Here's what it looks like now...

In the maker UI, I can not only lay track, but also change properties of the map like title, objectives, speed, and train spawn timings...
Also for convenience, I added the ability to paint a selection by dragging (rather than shift+click each tile individually), and to delete or create over that entire selection.
